Comparing Effects of Oral Contraceptive and Study Drug on Bone Mineral Density (BMD)

Are you the parents of an adolescent female age 12-18 ? Women's Health Research is conducting a clinical research study designed to compare the effects of a study drug and a 28-day cycle oral contraceptive regimen on bone mineral density (BMD) in healthy, adolescent females.

Study Information

Duration of Study - Approximately 12 months

Participants - Participants are between 12 and 18 years old

Study Care Includes - Study related exams, laboratory tests, and study medication


Participant Stipend - Compensation available

 

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
 

• Must be between 12 and 18 years of age
• Must not be pregnant or lactating
• Must have regular spontaneous menstrual cycles
   (not using hormonal contraceptives) for at least 3 months
